Reporting to the Chair and working closely with the Commercial Director, you will be the first point of contact for all legal matters, finding commercial solutions and having a results-orientated approach.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Providing strategic legal advice and counsel to the business on a broad range of legal matters, including multi-million pound contracts and commercial transactions, risk and regulatory compliance, employment law, data privacy and dispute resolution.
  2. Managing external legal relationships with law firms and other advisers, ensuring cost-effective and efficient legal representation.
  3. Proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks for the business.
  4. Staying up-to-date on relevant law and regulations, ensuring continuing compliance.
  5. Developing and implementing legal policies and procedures for the business.
  6. Contributing to the development and execution of overall business strategy from a legal perspective.

There is potential for involvement in company secretarial matters for anyone wishing to take on additional responsibility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private practice lawyer seeking a first in-house role or an existing in-house lawyer seeking a new challenge. You will be able to evidence a strong track record of strategic thinking and an ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships both internally and externally.

On offer is the chance to fully immerse yourself in this fast-moving sector and learn from true experts. There will be the opportunity for some international travel.
