About the role

• Title: General Accountant
• Function: Finance and Accounting
• Reporting: CFO
• Location: UK or US East Coast

What you'll do

• Own and manage accounts payable, expense reports and fixed assets processes.
• Collect, maintain and organize receipts and supporting documents ensuring completeness and compliance with Company policies and processes.
• Handle expense reports and ensure accurate tracking.
• Manage fixed assets and related documentation.
• Actively contribute to monthly close and preparation of financial statements.
• Create and maintain records in NetSuite and other tools.
• Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple countries to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Take full ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Diligent and prompt communication with third parties and team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a remote environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams across different time zones.
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with expense tracking or reimbursement processes.
• Interest in process improvement and leveraging automation tools.
