Job description

GCSE and A-Level Physics Tutor (remote)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging and tailored online Physics, Biology and Chemistry lessons for GCSE and A-Level students on a 1:1 basis.
2. Assist students in understanding key concepts, solving problems, and preparing for exams.
3. Provide regular feedback and track student progress to help them achieve their academic goals.
4. Utilize online tools to create an interactive and effective learning experience.
5. Adapt teaching strategies to suit the needs of each student.

Requirements:

1. Achieved at least A grade or equivalent at both GCSE and A-Level Science.
2. Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level Science curriculum, including familiarity with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and OCR.
3. Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
5. Committed to working with Educo London for at least the academic year.
6. Ability to take initiative, tailoring lessons to individual student needs.
7. Reliable access to a computer, stable internet connection, and a quiet space for tutoring.

Skills and / or experience useful for this opportunity:

1. Strong Academic Background: A or equivalent grade in GCSE and A-Level Science.
2. Tutoring Experience: Previous experience supporting GCSE/A-Level students.
3. Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
4. Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students.
5. Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using online teaching tools effectively.
6. Commitment: Organised and reliable, with dedication to the academic year.
