GBN 456 – Live-out nanny, baby girl aged 16 months, Bishop Stortford, 35,000+ gross per annum D.O.E, ASAP

A family residing in Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire is seeking a qualified and experienced nanny for the care of their daughter aged 16 months. This role will be a mix of sole and shared care with the mother. The mother is hoping to get back to work and have someone who can assist in the care and education of their girl as she progresses through the different ages and stages.

The ideal candidate will be a nanny who is passionate about childcare and development and someone who is easy going and happy to assist with some other small tasks around the home, such as meal prep and generally being helpful. The family has a cleaner, therefore no duties like that are required besides everyday helpful activities if the child is with the parents, such as unloading the dishwasher. However, the main role and focus is on the baby and ensuring her nursery and other areas are clean and tidy.

The family are warm and would like a warm candidate who their daughter will feel comfortable and cared for. They take a gentle approach to her learning and respect the Montessori approach; therefore, a nanny with experience or a keen interest in Montessori would be of interest to the family.

A driver is preferred, however not necessary for the right candidate. The child will not be going to nursery until she is at pre-school age. Therefore, the candidate must be confident in organising playdates and teaching the child through age-appropriate activities and play whilst maintaining her routine.

The family travels frequently with the father for his work. This could be once a month or once every two months for a week at a time. The family would like a nanny who is happy to join them. Separate accommodation/room will be provided. They also have frequent events, whereby some babysitting with overtime will be available and requested for the nanny. The family will always try to be respectful of the nanny and give as much advance notice on such events as possible.

Confidentiality is important to the family as well as someone seeking a long-term and permanent role.

The working hours can be 4 or 5 days per week depending on the candidate’s requirements from 9 am – 6 pm. This role is to start in July 2025; however, this can be sooner if needed.

  2. Driving license (clean U.K)
  3. Right to live and work in the U.K
  4. Enhanced DBS check cleared
