Do you currently work in the Gas industry and looking to move into smart metering? Here at Morrison Energy Services we have a fantastic opportunity for individuals who currently hold their core gas qualifications who are looking to kick start a new, successful career in the Smart Metering Industry.

We are offering up to 12 individuals the chance to come on our bespoke free training programme for 10 weeks to learn how to install smart meters. The cost of training may be due for repayment should you leave the company during the first two years of employment.

Once you are fully trained, you will join our Engineers in the field and will be primarily responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in domestic properties, whilst also responding to any ongoing maintenance or emergency appointments. We strive to provide excellent customer service to our customers ensuring they are well informed on the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter.

We will upskill you further by providing you with your Gas metering qualification, MET1. Whilst in the training programme (11 weeks) you will receive a competitive salary of £26,970 per annum, which will subsequently rise to £37,823 when signed off from the training programme.

Once live in the field you will benefit from:

1. £37,823 basic salary, realistic OTE £48k per annum (£40,974 basic salary if you live in London inside the M25)
2. £1000 Safety Bonus per year, paid at 6-month intervals
3. £1000 Attendance Bonus per year, paid at 6-month intervals
4. Uncapped additional productivity related bonus
5. Additional Skill set bonus - £1000 added to salary for 3phase and/or Medium Pressure
6. Regular overtime paid at time and a half and double time on Sundays
7. Shift allowance payments
8. More detail about the shifts and bonus scheme will be discussed at interview.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Hold current CCN1/CESP1 qualifications or an equivalent aligned qualification.
2. Been gas safe registered for a minimum of 6 months.
3. A current full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
4. A positive, can do attitude
5. Great interpersonal skills that empowers customer relations as well as driving best practice and proactive change for the better
6. Team spirit to assist colleagues and promote the company brand
7. The ability to coach and develop others who are developing new skills and competencies
