Your new company
Your new job role will be working for a large facilities management company who have a large nationwide broadband contract.

Your new role
Your new role will be providing a reactive and pre-planned maintenance service to building engineering systems and services. You will be required to complete all aspects of Gas work across 6 commercial buildings. Your prime job duties will be to:

  • Maintain all gas heating equipment and assist with other PPM routines as directed.
  • Ensure qualifications for gas work are appropriate and up-to-date.
  • Perform gas work safely, adhering to gas-safe standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments before starting gas work or any other tasks, and complete the necessary documentation.
  • Use and maintain tools and equipment correctly.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults using manufacturers' manuals and drawings.
  • Record and report any risks, losses, or defects to management for corrective action.
  • Complete remedial work and repairs within the specified timescales.
  • Coordinate with the Area Facilities Manager/Lead Engineer and Helpdesk for both demand and planned maintenance tasks, and respond to other requests as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

  • NVQ3 or equivalent for non-supervisory roles.
  • Demonstrates proven business experience, holding a Level 3 NVQ or Certificate Level Qualification.
  • Must possess a recognised engineering apprenticeship in plant maintenance or equivalent qualifications.
  • Must have successfully completed assessment in the gas work elements being undertaken and hold a competence card issued by the Gas Safe Register (Commercial & Domestic).
