Job Overview

This position will serve a lead role at the Chester Gas Plant and manage a fundamental segment of its function within the company. Responsibilities will center around ensuring fulfillment of branch gas orders and managing the transfer ticket process, maintaining documentation associated with regulated products, coordinating production and distribution, and actively participating in the execution of all assigned duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Direct the prioritization and fulfillment of branch gas orders, ensuring they are complete, and that tickets are processed and arranged for next day deliveries.
2. Prepare and ensure driver possession of all required paperwork associated with their delivery.
3. Maintain accurate documentation of lot distribution records for regulated products, i.e. medical, beverage, and food grade; and ensuring completion of incoming bulk supply documentation associated with these products.
4. Coordinate production in the high-pressure department to meet gas order requirements.
5. Assign duties and lead the workflow of gas plant operators under your immediate direction, whose duties will include pulling gas orders, unloading pallets, filling cylinders, as well as other required tasks.
6. Prepare and process tickets to facilitate cylinder exchanges with other Arc3 gas plants, as well as process outsourced cylinders into onsite stock for distribution to the branches.
7. Identify potential cylinder shortages through familiarity with branch demands, and relay special production needs to the fill operators, or an increase in asset requirements to the plant manager.
8. Preside as plant manager’s point of contact for all activities in the gas distribution and industrial production areas of the Chester Gas Plant.
9. Recognize and relay to the plant manager any equipment or operational deficiencies that are unable to be immediately resolved, as well as take the initiative to make independent decisions regarding operational or distribution issues when appropriate.
10. Substitute for absent fill operators when necessary.
11. Aid in training as required.
12. Maintain and enforce a safe and efficient working environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

1. Stand and walk for eight-hour periods.
2. Bend at the waist and knees frequently.
3. Use full body force to tighten ratchet straps frequently.
4. Loud noise levels.
5. Exposed to all weather conditions.
6. Must handle heavy cylinders and materials.
7. Must work with hazardous materials.
