Job description

HD-TECH are working in partnership with a well-established company looking for an experienced Gas Engineer. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer who can fault-find and repair a variety of domestic heating appliances with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair gas and oil-fired boilers and heating systems.

  • Replace oil and gas boilers and carry out general plumbing repairs and installations.

  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Work independently and manage your workload efficiently.

  • Provide services in the Ipswich and Suffolk Coastal areas.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in gas and oil boiler maintenance, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.

  • Able to fault-find, repair, and replace gas and oil-fired heating systems.

  • Skilled in general plumbing repairs and installations.

  • Self-motivated and able to work on your initiative.

  • A strong work ethic with a commitment to high-quality service.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • OFTEC certification or in-date oil experience is a bonus.

  • Domestic Gas Safety Certification (CCN1) is required.

  • Experience with renewable energy systems, such as ground source and air source heat pumps, is desirable.

  • Commercial experience is advantageous but not essential.
