Job description

NRL have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our clients who specialise in design, supply, installation, testing & maintenance of standby power systems & energy solutions. The role is for a Gas Engine Generator Technician to be based in Scotland and will be offered on a permanent basis.


Key Skills and Experience
  1. Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of CHP gas power systems.
  2. Multi Gas engine power plant experience.
  3. Experience with specific Gas Engine products – Siemens Gauscor M.W.M – M.A.N.- PSI/Ford.
  4. CHP – Commissioning of controls, flows and pressures.
  5. Mechanical Overhaul experience.
  6. Modification of control systems.
  7. Ability to work under own initiative.
  8. Excellent communication skills.
  9. Fault Finding & Diagnostics of control systems.
  10. Clean Driving Licence.
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Proven experience in the daily operation of CHP gas power systems, monitoring performance and ensuring optimal efficiency.
  2. Conduct routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on CHP equipment, and associated systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  4. Perform performance testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
  5. Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure seamless integration of CHP systems with other plant operations.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, operational data.
