Job description

NES Fircroft are hiring a Gas Coordinator on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Clients Operations Team at Bacton. The Gas Coordinator is a core operational role within the Hydrocarbon Accounting Group, responsible for coordinating production from each of the fields operated by our client. This continuously evolving role is integral to developing new business projects and optimising the existing production portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key interface between management, operations, commercial, and project groups.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, operators, marketing teams, and regulatory bodies.
  • Play a pivotal role in the company’s business operations.
  • Contribute to the optimisation of our clients' Southern North Sea production portfolio in response to market dynamics and partner requirements.
  • Make critical, real-time business decisions.
  • Ensure accurate internal, partner, and regulatory reporting of production data.
  • Undergo an initial training period at the Dimlington gas terminal near Hull.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • Degree in Maths, Engineering, Physics, or Business Studies, though relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Strong computer literacy, attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Knowledge of gas processing, transmission systems, and delivery is advantageous (full training on Gas Coordination will be provided).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with third-party owners, buyers, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts for holidays and sickness when required. The usual pattern involves two rotations of day shifts followed by one rotation of night shifts.
