Qualifications

Job description

Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Gas Breakdown Engineer to join our team, based in Knowsley, covering various contracts across the North West. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary with on target earnings up to £50,000 per annum, plus company van & fuel card plus excellent benefits!

Responsibilities for this Gas Breakdown Engineer will include:
  1. Undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of Domestic heating systems
  2. Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations
  3. Completion of all relevant paperwork
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction and safety
  5. Participate in out of hour's works, including overtime, call out etc.
  6. Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures
  7. Reporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards
  8. Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
  9. Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers

What we are looking for in our ideal Gas Breakdown Engineer:
  1. Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
  2. ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
  3. LPG, UNVENTED qualifications are desirable
  4. Understanding of gas legislation
  5. Full driving license
  6. Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
  7. Ability to manage own time and workload
  8. Experience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer service
  9. Flexibility
  10. Great communication
  11. Self-motivation and self-management
