Job description

Are you an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic educator who is looking for their next challenge/opportunity? Are you a Qualified Teacher/Tutor/Teaching Assistant based in Lincoln or the surrounding areas? Then we may have the opportunity for you!

At TP-Tutors, we are always on the lookout for tutors who have that little something extra, whether this be with how they deliver sessions, incorporate hobbies or student interests, or even simply how they hold themselves when speaking with staff/students. As a tutor, we would expect total professionalism, an adherence to safeguarding and ethical standards, as well as a passion for engagement and progress in all they do.

The pay for tutoring is £25-30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold a full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils may need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.

Requirements for the role:
  1. A solid grasp of the English Language to convey themselves to students.
  2. A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.
  3. An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
  4. Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
  5. UK Teaching experience is desirable.
  6. Classroom/1-1 teaching experience desirable, as well as knowledge of up-to-date safeguarding training for those in education.
  7. An excellent understanding of the Mathematics and English Functional Skills curriculum and Exam Boards.
  8. Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
