Job Title: Functional Mapping Lead (Business Analyst)

Employment Type: 3 months contract

Overview:
We are looking for a Functional Lead Business Analyst to join and play a critical role in driving operational efficiency and business transformation initiatives for a leading client in the construction industry. This role focuses on capturing, analysing, and mapping current ("As-Is") business processes, systems, and workflows to inform future state designs and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the documentation of "As-Is" operating models across various business functions.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and process owners to gather data and insights.
  3. Use tools such as Lucidchart to create clear and visually intuitive process maps.
  4. Identify and document inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  5. Validate models with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with real-world operations.
  6. Capture all relevant functional requirements and constraints from the current state.
  7. Establish a framework for ongoing documentation and continuous process analysis.
  8. Support the transition from "As-Is" to "To-Be" states alongside business analysts and project teams.
  9. Mentor junior team members and guide their contributions to process documentation.
  10. Work closely with project management and IT to integrate insights into project delivery.
  11. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
Skills Needed:
  • Proven experience in business analysis, preferably in the construction or related industry.
  • Strong background in process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Lucidchart or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Experience leading or mentoring junior analysts is a plus.
