About the Role:

Starting from September 2025, this role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons to secondary students. You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, assessment, report writing, and attending parents' evenings. In return, you will be paid to scale based on your experience and expertise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in parents’ evenings, report writing, and pastoral duties.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s English department.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature.
  • The ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
