Cover Supervisor - Secondary School (Guaranteed Supply Contract, 3 Days Per Week)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team on a guaranteed supply contract for at least three days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior classroom experience as a teacher or cover supervisor, looking for flexible yet stable work in secondary schools. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to facilitate travel between schools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
2. Ensure students remain engaged and on task during lessons, promoting a positive learning environment.
3. Support students with their learning where necessary.
4. Follow school policies and procedures for classroom management and behaviour.
5. Liaise with teachers and school staff to ensure seamless lesson transitions.
6. Travel between schools as needed, ensuring reliable and professional service.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Experience in a school setting as a cover supervisor or teacher.
2. Confident classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
3. Strong communication and organisational abilities.
4. Adaptability to different schools and learning environments.
5. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).

Requirements:

1. A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
2. Strong references from previous education roles.
3. Ability to commit to a minimum of three days per week on a supply basis.
