Job Title: Core Subjects Tutor (Face-to-Face)

Location: Face-to-Face, School-based in Newcastle

Job Type: Full-Time
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8.30-3pm

About the Role:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Core Subjects Tutors to provide personalised learning support to students of various abilities within mainstream school. As a Core Subjects Tutor, you will have the opportunity to offer face-to-face tutoring sessions, tailored to students' individual needs. Our ideal candidates are experts in their subject areas (Maths or English) and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, in person.
2. Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
3. Assist with homework, exam preparation, and skill development.
4. Track and report student progress to parents and/or teachers.
5. Create a positive, engaging, and motivating learning environment.

Qualifications/Skills:

1. Proven expertise in either Maths or English.
2. Prior experience in tutoring or teaching.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to teach in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

Requirements:

1. QTS (Qualified Teaching Status).
2. Bachelor's degree or higher AND/OR experience teaching the relevant subject area.
3. Ability to commit to full-time work for the rest of the academic year.
