Position Overview

We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineer skilled in TypeScript to build and maintain scalable web apps. You’ll work on both the frontend and backend to create a smooth user experience. This is a full-time remote position that includes working in the CET time zone.

Key Responsibilities

1. Frontend:
   1. Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with Next.js and TypeScript.
   2. Work with designers to turn UI/UX designs into functional apps.
2. Backend:
   1. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with NestJS and TypeScript.
   2. Design secure, scalable backend architecture.
   3. Integrate with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
3. Collaboration & Best Practices:
   1. Work with product managers, designers, and engineers in an Agile environment.
   2. Write clean, maintainable, and documented code.
   3. Conduct code reviews and give constructive feedback.
   4. Keep up with new technologies and bring fresh ideas.

Requirements

1. Technical Skills:
   1. Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
   2. Experience with React and SSR implementation.
   3. Backend experience with Node.js (NestJS preferably).
   4. Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
   5. Understanding of CI/CD, testing frameworks, and version control (e.g., Git).
2. Soft Skills:
   1. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
   2. Good communication and teamwork.
   3. Proactive and eager to learn.
   4. Intermediate English level.
3. Education & Experience:
   1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
   2. 5+ years of experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Next.js or similar SSR frameworks.
2. Experience with Google Cloud.
3. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
4. Experience with Agile/Scrum.
5. Familiarity with DDD.
6. Familiarity with AI tools for code assistance.

What We Offer

1. Contract-based, full-time role (40 hours/week) with a long-term commitment + options for employee role in UK or US.
2. 100% distributed. Founder currently lives in Birmingham UK but may move to San Francisco.
