Climate17 has partnered with a leading consultancy specialising in power and renewable energy markets. Providing strategic advisory services to energy companies, investors, and traders, helping them navigate the complexities of energy transition and market volatility. With their expertise spanning asset valuation, portfolio optimisation, and market analysis, with a strong focus on LNG, flexible power generation, and energy storage. Our client has evolved rapidly since 2011 to become one of Europe’s most respected energy consultancies, with a strong client base of investors & owners of flexible energy assets.

Role

They are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer with expertise across front-end and back-end development to join their growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge energy analytics platforms, working on innovative solutions that support critical decision-making in the energy markets.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will have two key areas of responsibility:

1. Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain both user-facing and server-side components of our applications, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
2. Collaboration & Optimisation: Work closely with Agile teams to enhance application functionality, optimise user interfaces, and improve system performance.

Your work will play a crucial role in advancing our analytics capabilities, leveraging modern technologies to build scalable and efficient solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

They are looking for candidates with a strong technical foundation and a passion for problem-solving. Key requirements include:

1. Front-End Development: Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks like ReactJS, along with strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
2. Back-End Development: Strong experience with server-side programming languages such as Node.js or Python, API development, and microservices architecture.
3. Database Management: Experience with relational databases (SQL) and integrating them with applications.
4. Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development processes and experience with project management tools.
5. Industry Experience: 3 years in a full-stack development role or a similar position.
6. Educational Background: A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
