Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced UX Developer to work with a key client.

Please note candidates must have AI and Forex Hedging experience.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on User Experience (UX) Design and a solid understanding of FX hedging processes to lead the redesign and development of our FX hedging web application. The platform performs complex calculations to generate reports that guide users in ordering currencies and booking hedges. The current platform, developed with a Python backend and a JavaScript/TypeScript front end, requires a complete overhaul to improve usability, simplify the user interface, and integrate new design and AI-driven features.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
   • Review existing platform functionality, user guides, and Figma designs.
   • Analyze completed reports to understand user requirements and expected outputs.
   • Identify inefficiencies and propose a simplified user journey with minimal data entry.
   • Ensure designs align with FX hedging principles and workflows.
2. UX/UI Design:
   • Redesign the user experience, ensuring the interface is intuitive and streamlined.
   • Create new wireframes and prototypes (using tools like Figma) to reflect the desired user journey.
   • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback.
3. Front-End Development:
   • Develop the redesigned front-end using TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).
   • Ensure seamless integration with the existing Python backend.
4. Backend Integration:
   • Collaborate with backend developers to ensure all calculations and existing functionality integrate smoothly with the new front-end.
   • Optimize backend interaction to improve performance and user experience.
5. AI Integration:
   • Evaluate opportunities for AI implementation in the front-end, such as automating data inputs or predictive analytics.
   • Propose and develop AI features that enhance the user experience and platform functionality.
6. Documentation and Collaboration:
   • Produce comprehensive requirement and design specifications.
   • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders and team members.
   • Provide guidance on best practices and future-proofing the platform.

UX/UI Design Expertise:

1. Proficiency in UX design principles and tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
2. Proven experience creating intuitive user interfaces for complex web applications.

Front-End Development:

1. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
2. Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design practices.

Backend Integration:

1. Familiarity with Python backend development, particularly for data-heavy applications.
2. Experience with RESTful APIs and database integration.

AI/ML Integration:

1. Basic understanding of AI/ML principles and their application in front-end design.
2. Experience implementing AI-driven features is a plus.

FX Hedging Knowledge:

1. Solid understanding of FX hedging processes, including currency ordering, hedging strategies, and cost implications.
2. Familiarity with financial platforms or tools used for hedging.

Experience:

1. UX Design: Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and implementing user interfaces for web applications.

3. TypeScript Development: Demonstrated proficiency in TypeScript for developing and maintaining scalable, efficient front-end applications.
4. FX Hedging Knowledge: Prior experience working on financial platforms or demonstrable understanding of FX hedging is essential.
5. AI Integration: Experience or strong understanding of integrating AI into web applications is preferred.
