About the role

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions while defining and promoting Agile best practices.

1. Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using ASP.NET Core and Python
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
3. Developing and optimizing RESTful APIs for seamless integration
4. Troubleshooting and resolving issues to enhance application performance
5. Writing clean, reusable code for cross-platform applications
6. Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices
7. Staying ahead of emerging technologies to improve existing systems

We are looking for candidates with strong expertise in:

1. Back-end Development: Python & .NET Core/C#
2. API Development: Fast API (Python) & ASP.NET Core Web API
3. Cloud & DevOps: Azure services (Functions, App Service, Storage, Service Bus, SQL Database)
4. Security & Authentication: OAuth, JWT, and data protection best practices
5. Asynchronous Programming: Proficiency in Python & C# for efficient multitasking
6. Containerisation & Microservices: Docker, Kubernetes, and modern architectures
7. Database Management: SQL (MS SQL) & NoSQL, including Redis for caching
8. Software Development Practices: Unit testing, dependency injection, CI/CD pipelines, and code optimisation
9. Gen AI & Emerging Tech: Exposure to AI-driven projects (RAG apps, vector DBs, LangChain, etc.)

Preferred experience

1. Transitioning POC applications to production-ready systems
2. Performance monitoring and optimisation
3. User research and service design
4. AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices
