Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Java/React)

The Sales Analytics team consumes data for reporting, deep data analysis as well as advanced data science and provides Deutsche Bank front office a clear view on clients' activity and profitability. We are building an interactive analytical platform, defining and tracking key business metrics, helping front office in day-to-day business decisions. We are responsible for all steps of bringing high-quality data to end users: ETL processes, data analysis and preparation, development of an interactive presentation layer.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be part of a product team, responsible for the full life cycle of development tasks including analysis, development, successful implementation, administration, and level 3 production support. You will work in close collaboration with sales, research, and operations teams based in the UK, US, and Germany. Since our project is very successful, we are growing rapidly, and we are looking for engineers with strong design and coding skills, team players, motivated and self-driven. We seek people with a passion for software engineering and the ability to work in a fast-paced evolving environment.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design and develop frontend and backend systems, deploy systems to production, define and improve monitoring metrics, participate in on-call duties.
• Collaborate with business users to resolve their issues, gather requirements for new features, and demonstrate new features to stakeholders.
• Resolve system integration challenges working with other members of the team and external teams.
• Support user acceptance testing, release planning and coordination, user training, and assist L1/L2 support in root cause analysis.

Your skills and experiences:

• Agile development practices with a strong focus on quality code through automated testing.
• Experience in software development in any two of the following areas: web and API development, UX technologies (React), relational databases. Proficiency with the Java server stack and understanding of its underlying runtime.
• Experience with column-oriented databases (i.e., Clickhouse), high proficiency with Scala.
• Experience with relational databases, high proficiency with SQL.
• Knowledge of modern frontend development principles, experience with React and Typescript.
• Containerized cloud deployment concepts beneficial e.g., Docker, Kubernetes.
