This is a business that is pushing the boundaries of cloud communications. They offer a range of products that enhance communications for businesses and their customers. You will be primarily focusing on the back-end development in Java SE or EE, building high performing and scalable applications, collaborating with the Front-End team and the DevOps engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Java.
• Implement secure, efficient and reliable data storage and retrieval mechanisms.
• Develop and integrate front end components with React.
• Conduct code reviews, implement testing strategies and ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience within a commercial web development role.
• Acting in the capacity of design authority.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Experience working within an Agile environment with tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Technical Skills:

• Relational & Non-Relational Databases e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL and web services.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS & Azure.
• Experience with message queues and streaming platforms e.g. Kafka, ActiveMQ.
