  2. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and improve user interface designs.
  3. Problem-Solving: Debug and resolve technical challenges efficiently to maintain the quality and performance of UI systems.
  4. Code Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable, and optimized code for UI features, screens, menus, and HUDs.
WHAT WE VALUE:

  • SCSS (Sassy Cascading Style Sheets) knowledge and understanding
  • C++
  • Bonus: Coherent and SolidJS experience
  • UI System Expertise: Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain UI systems in game environments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong critical thinking and debugging skills.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Self-Motivation: Capacity for self-motivation, independent work, and maintaining a strong work ethic.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to receive and act on constructive feedback.
  • WHAT YOU MAY ALSO HAVE:
    1. Shipped Game Experience: Previous experience contributing to one or more shipped titles as an engineer.
    2. Feature Ownership: Experience owning the implementation of impactful game features.
    3. Team Collaboration: Experience working with larger teams and contributing to large-scale projects.
    4. UI Implementation: Developed and shipped UI features, screens, menus, or HUDs in a released product.
    WHAT WE CAN OFFER:
    1. Hybrid Working Arrangement: Our office in Cardiff is located right in City Centre, just a couple minutes away from the Cardiff Central Train Station! As a member of our team, you’ll have the flexibility to work at home and collaborate with your fellow engineers in person. For any candidates based in Brighton, we do not have an office yet, therefore the role would start as fully remote but when we do open an office the role would pivot to hybrid.

    • Private Pension via Salary Sacrifice
    • Optional Private Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
