Frontend Software Engineer

Miller Maxwell is assisting an electronic trading organization in their search for a Frontend Software Engineer to join their highly skilled engineering and frontend development team in London. The client is a high-performance electronic trading organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a key program of work starting in May 2025 to build brand new UIs to solve trading problems for the front-office team.
• Develop and maintain front-end applications used by the front-office team.
• Design and develop UIs for their core platform and new platform.
• Work closely with back-end Java Software Engineers.
• Suggest and implement new ideas into the code base.

Qualifications:

• A degree in a STEM-related subject.
• At least 5 years of commercial frontend development experience within an electronic trading environment.
• Proven experience in building robust and reliable UIs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
• An eye for design is a plus.

Pay range and compensation package: The role requires attendance at the client’s London office (near St Paul's station) 4 days per week; this is not a fully remote position. The company culture is entrepreneurial, offering freedom and scope to implement and bring new ideas.
