Front End Developer (React and Typescript) - Edinburgh Hybrid - 50-60K plus 30% bonus

Lorien's client, a leading and growing firm operating in the world's largest financial market, is looking to recruit a Front End Software Developer to bolster their development function and continue to develop products and tooling for their expanding customer base.

Right now, they're looking for a Front End Developer with strong TypeScript and React skills to help in the development of several large-scale, sophisticated Single-Page Applications as part of their wider multi-window trading platform and work closely with their team in London.

An insight into the duties involved:

• Improve the key, global-reaching platform at the heart of our client's operations.
• Design, enhance and maintain Front End software and relevant APIs.
• Liaise with a cross-functional team of Product Management, QA, UX/UI and other Developers at all levels to push new products to release.
• Ensure documentation is in order, as well as follow best practices in line with agreed processes and procedures.

What they're looking for you to bring to the table:

• Expert Front End development skills with React and TypeScript.
• A good knowledge of current Front End trends and methods.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Web Sockets and various browsers including Chrome.
• A good understanding of software development, ideally including data structures/algorithms, memory, performance debugging, and some knowledge of Back End development.
