Hotel: Magnolia House & Cypress Inn (MFPKB), Magnolia House, 7326 Utah Avenue Building 522, 71459

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

Responsibilities:

  1. Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
  2. Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and informing them about ways to improve their stay.
  3. Handle cash and credit transactions.
  4. Check guests in and out swiftly - taking IDs, handing out room keys, and controlling and releasing safety deposit boxes.
  5. Record and act on guests’ preferences, and handle their messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
  6. Assist guests with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, involving management when necessary.
  7. Follow safety procedures, report all incidents, and wear any protective gear needed.
  8. Maintain a professional appearance as a brand ambassador.
  9. Stay informed about events and activities scheduled for the day.
  10. Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties when needed.

What We Need from You:

  1. Availability for varying shifts across a 7-day period, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  2. Strong communication skills to address guest concerns and compliments.
  3. Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities for guest satisfaction.
  4. Fluency in the local language; additional language skills are a plus.
  5. Basic literacy and tech-savviness, including reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
  6. Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  7. A high school diploma or equivalent; a college or university degree is a bonus.
  8. Ideally, at least one year of experience in a front desk or guest service position.
  9. Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
