Role Overview:
As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students of all abilities, helping them improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French. You will also foster an appreciation for the culture, history, and traditions of French-speaking countries, making language learning an enriching and enjoyable experience for your students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, deliver, and assess French lessons that align with the national curriculum and school requirements.
  2. Develop engaging, interactive, and dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  3. Help students improve their proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French.
  4. Maintain effective classroom management, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  5. Provide constructive and actionable feedback to support students' academic growth.
  6. Work collaboratively with the school's language department to promote the success of French education.
  7. Participate in school events, meetings, and activities, contributing to the wider school community.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications: A degree in French or a related subject, along with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).

Experience: Prior experience teaching French at the secondary school level is highly desirable.

Skills:

  1. Strong command of the French language, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
  2. A deep understanding of French culture and the ability to integrate cultural aspects into lessons.
  3. Ability to teach French across a wide range of age groups and abilities, from beginners to advanced learners.
