Empowering Learning is working with a school based in Croydon, Surrey who are seeking a dedicated and dynamic French teacher to join them immediately. This amazing secondary school in Croydon has a vibrant and supportive department which will allow you to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific inquiry among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver engaging and interactive French lessons for students at various levels, including Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
2. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and experiment.
3. Implement effective teaching strategies and methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
4. Utilize innovative resources, technology, and practical demonstrations to enhance the learning experience and stimulate interest in French.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and educational programs that align with national standards and promote academic excellence.
6. Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individualized learning goals through targeted interventions and enrichment activities.
7. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and academic success.
8. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities to contribute to the overall school community and personal growth.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in French Education.
2. Specialization in French with a strong foundation to teach to KS5.
3. Proven experience teaching French at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
5. Passion for education, innovation, and lifelong learning.
6. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.
7. Ability to adapt to changing educational trends, technologies, and pedagogies.
8. Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
