Job description

A new Freight Forwarding Operations / Customer Service opportunity has arisen to work for a growing Freight Forwarder based in an office North of Bradford, who operate all Freight Forwarding services, but particularly strong on Sea Freight Exports.


Role Description:
This role is the foundation of what our Freight client does: to provide excellent levels of service to clients and external salespeople. This will be achieved through the role holder's skilled and professional telephone manner, general communication skills, and an in-depth knowledge of the customer service and documentation required for bookings that have differing requirements.


Accountabilities:

  1. Maintain consistent levels of accuracy in data records on all systems used in the role.
  2. Maintain productivity at or above agreed levels.
  3. Work as a team to demonstrate excellence in all aspects of the team's overarching purpose: to provide excellent levels of service to around 50% of our client base.
  4. Demonstrate our Freight client's core values at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deal with customer queries via telephone/email.
  2. Monitor and maintain shared inbox.
  3. Undertake customer bookings and input data into MultiFreight/CargoWise.
  4. Liaise with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and agents.
  5. Check and send customer documentation.
  6. Produce bills of lading.
  7. Provide bill of lading instructions.
  8. Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business.

  2. Industry-related qualifications as agreed with line manager.
