Working Hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday 0800-1630

ASCO Freight Management (AFM) provides a range of services including Heli-Freight, Customs Clearance and Consultancy, as well as local and global Freight Forwarding.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager AFM & Seletar, the successful candidate will manage and lead the Freight Forwarding team, with a focus on the growth of the project logistics service line. You will also lead operational business development and assist with the creation and growth of the Freight Forwarding team and build customer relationships, both existing and new. Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Operational management of Freight Forwarding team.
  • Drive improvement and growth of our Freight forwarding department.
  • Provide operational input to Business Development team and assist with tenders.
  • Attend industry events and conferences, with both operational and commercial aspects.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation for both ASCO and our clients.
  • Provide high quality customer service, interacting with customers and responding to customer enquiries.
  • Attend client meetings with Customs Manager and other Managers as required.
  • Maintain and Manage Client KPIs.
  • Drive department cost management and P&L forecasting.

  • Experience in building and maintaining positive and professional workplace and client relationships.

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
  • Honours degree.
  • Member of professional institute/association e.g. IOE, CILT.
  • Air Cargo Security.
  • Dangerous Goods.
  • COSHH.
  • Experience at a senior level in the freight forwarding business.
