Are you an experienced logistics professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a European Road Freight Operations Manager to join a well-established and privately owned freight-forwarding specialist based in Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team, manage a busy depot, and play a key role in driving operational excellence across European Freight, logistics and distribution services.

European Road Freight Operations Manager Role:

As the European Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of depot operations, ensuring smooth and compliant inbound and outbound pallet storage and distribution. You'll lead by example, supporting your team, improving processes, and maintaining high standards across health and safety, compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the depot.
2. Oversee staff performance, training, and team development.
3. Maintain compliance with relevant health and safety and operational standards.
4. Manage inbound and outbound pallet storage and distribution.
5. Support and enhance international logistics operations, including freight forwarding.
6. Maintain a working knowledge of export and import customs clearance procedures.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and warehouse operations.

What We're Looking For:

1. Proven experience in logistics and freight forwarding (European operations preferred).
2. Strong leadership and staff management skills.
3. A solid understanding of customs clearance procedures.
4. Experience in warehouse operations, particularly pallet storage and distribution.
5. A hands-on manager with a proactive approach to solving challenges.
