We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the shipment of goods from one location to another, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, transportation logistics, and the ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

1. Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
2. Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and suppliers to optimise shipping costs.
3. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs documentation.
4. Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
5. Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.

Skills

1. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and freight forwarding operations.
2. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms from vendors.
3. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
4. Strong analytical skills to assess logistics challenges and develop effective solutions.
5. Previous experience in sales or lead generation within the logistics sector is advantageous.
