Opportunities

As a Freelance Senior Social Strategist, you will help define how Social Element shows up strategically and is able to deliver the following strategy solutions to our business.

Social Strategy: translate client’s business challenges and brand strategy into unique and ownable social strategies.

Content Strategy: develop strategies for specific themes/pillars and deploy it on different social platforms.

Platform Strategy: understand the various platforms available to reach our audiences and help shape our clients' social ecosystems.

Creative Strategy: Define creative territories that respond to the brand’s challenges and guide creative ideation.

Influencer Strategy: identify relevant influencers for brands, from nano to macro influencers, and build implementation-led strategies that ensure influencer activity ladders into wider business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the voice of strategy in Europe, supporting the Strategy Director in delivering exciting strategy for clients and new business/pitches.
  • Help clients meaningfully connect with their communities by identifying key insights (audience, brand, culture, platform) and developing subsequent strategies.
  • Partner with client services and new business teams to proactively identify opportunities with existing clients, spot opportunities elsewhere, and support/lead new business pitches.
  • Assemble strategy into presentation materials and be comfortable presenting for senior level clients.
  • Conduct workshops for current and potential clients across Europe to optimise their Social Strategy.
  • Flexibility in strategic approach, covering the following core competencies:
    • Social Strategy
    • Content/Platform Strategy
    • Creative Strategy
    • Influencer Strategy
    • Optional - social media auditing/analysis, audience refinement
  • Work with the Insights team and SMMs to better understand audiences and brand activities on social media from a data perspective as well as add a strategic layer to monthly reports for key clients.
  • Inform KPIs and define measurement solutions to clients.
  • Work with the Creative Team to inspire and guide ideation and to make sure the creative deliveries are in line with approved strategy.
  • Work with the community engagement team to ensure strategies are implementable, unearth additional insights, and optimise where required.
  • Demonstrate what ‘good’ looks like in strategy, ensuring we have a solid range of strategy frameworks and studies to drive our work and a vast library of best practices and case studies.
  • Ensure that DE&I is baked into everything we do and champion this within all strategic deliveries in the agency.
  • Support with training and upskilling colleagues and clients on this service line.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - must be competent in PowerPoint/Keynote/Google Slides and able to confidently lead workshops with senior clients.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Ability to display sound logical judgement and make quick decisions as necessary.
  • A confident and driven individual, who can speak with authority and energy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills and ability to juggle several tasks at once.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format.

Requirements

  • Proven strategy experience in a social media, creative agency, platform, or brand.
  • Experience working for global clients.
  • Strong experience working alongside new business teams in pitches, and a proven record of helping unlock additional revenue from clients via strategic opportunities.
  • Up-to-date and current knowledge of social networks, social tools, and social media trends.
  • Solid experience with quantitative and qualitative performance metrics and insights.
