Vacancy: Freelance Site Manager

Location: Nottingham

Unite People are working alongside a specialist construction contractor to hire a Site Manager, focusing on managing trades and subcontractors on the refurbishment of a live education building. The scope of works includes internal refurbishment, flooring, joinery work, decorating, M&E, and window replacement. Weekend working is a possibility should the programme require.

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing that works are carried out by trades staff and sub-contractors safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will ideally have experience in internal refurbishment, and experience with public sector buildings would be a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing internal fitout of individual, specialist rooms including flooring, joinery, and M&E packages.
2. Use snagging software to record defects, quality issues, and progress.
3. Maintain high health & safety standards throughout.
4. Attend meetings with Site and Project management to discuss programme and progress.
5. Ensure the project is finished to client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Training:

1. CSCS Black Card
2. SMSTS
3. First Aid
4. Strong package management experience
5. Excellent quality control
6. Strong People Management experience
7. Strong people skills
