We are seeking freelance Level 3 CSW's and NRCPD registered Trainee Interpreters to work within the education/college setting supporting students in the Birmingham and Solihull area, so experience in the education domain is preferable. Freelance or term time contracts available now!

  1. InterpretersLive!: Our cutting-edge video relay interpreting service offers British Sign Language interpreters on demand, accessible via desktop or tablet. This service ensures D/deaf employees can participate in meetings and make phone calls with hearing customers and colleagues.
  2. Website Accessibility: Our InterpretersLive! service also helps organizations become accessible to D/deaf people through a link on their website allowing them to instantly connect, enhancing their accessibility rating and allowing D/deaf people to communicate via a real-time online BSL interpreter.
  3. Training and Qualifications: Our training centre offers qualifications in BSL and CPD for British Sign Language interpreters. We also provide Deaf awareness training, available onsite or via e-learning.
  4. Translation Services: We make videos and documents accessible to D/deaf people by translating them into BSL, offering a cost-effective and efficient translation service.

Job Description

You will be working in colleges across the Birmingham area providing communication support to enable Deaf students to access their college courses.

  • To undertake interpreting assignments on behalf of Sign Solutions.
  • To deliver high-quality interpreting services to all clients and student support.

Qualifications

BSL Level 3 required for CSW (Communication Support Worker).

NRCPD registered TSLI for (Trainee Interpreter).

Educational sector experience.

Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience. Start salary circa £24,089.00 full-time equivalent.
