Job description

As Freelance Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the global trading of the collection online, driving revenue and communicating the brand proposition with the support of an Ecommerce Assistant and external agencies. The US is a key market. Reporting weekly to the founder, the objective is to achieve measurable growth informed by local market knowledge, analytics, and digital marketing strategy for this emerging Women's RTW Resort brand which offers refinement and a touch of glamour.

The successful candidate must be living and working in the UK commutable to London with around 5 years of fashion industry experience in ecommerce and digital marketing ideally within women's contemporary or luxury fashion; resort experience will be an advantage.

A strong grasp of numeracy, website optimisation, analytics and social media marketing is essential alongside a proven track record in creating and executing successful digital marketing strategies demonstrating growth in engagement and conversion.

Main responsibilities

Customer Retention

  • Manage the segmentation of customer data.
  • Drive marketing and loyalty campaigns around tiers of customers.

eCommerce Management

  • Manage functionality of the transactional website (Shopify Plus).
  • Manage the ecommerce development sprint cycle, including preparation informed by analytics, run weekly meetings, set priorities and ensure all objectives are achieved within the proposed timeframe.
  • Point of contact for potential external partners; Ecommerce Consultant, Digital Developers, Affiliates and any other contractors, ensuring coordination is running smoothly and any problems are ironed out, including the functionality of the site and any other digital tools.
  • Manage online orders through to fulfilment.
  • Update website policies and resolve any issues relating to UX, orders and shipping.

Sales Planning & Photography

  • Manage sales campaigns and discounts ensuring the brand is aligned with competitors.
  • Work on weekly and monthly targets and evolve the affiliate strategy.
  • Collaborate on shoots and image selection for the website and socials.

Copywriting & SEO

  • Manage all web content including imagery, product descriptions, content and blog.
  • Manage and update the weekly content schedule.
  • Overlook the creation of product feeds, product descriptions, attributes, meta details and image optimisation adhering to SEO best practices.
  • Merchandise the online offer effectively to enhance customer experience.
  • Optimise and improve the online customer experience to maximise conversion.
  • Coordinate SEO across the site from products, categories, pages and social media.
  • Identify and implement possibilities for growth including reviewing the AI and ensuring the site adheres to best practices.

PPC & Digital Advertising

  • Drive performance on PPC, affiliates and paid social channels, setting CPA targets and weekly budget laydowns reviewing weekly performance.
  • Set and run the campaigns and adjust accordingly.
  • Create digital content and any artwork for all media channels.
  • Manage and coordinate affiliates.

Email Marketing

  • Manage the email marketing strategy.
  • Propose and manage the email calendar in line with seasonal events and collection drops.
  • Schedule email marketing activity, creating emails for the week ahead in line with calendar and PR activity.
  • Report weekly on email marketing performance.

Social Media Marketing

  • Collaborate with the team on social channels and strategy.
  • Devise the weekly social media editorial calendar.
  • Create trackable content using Google Analytics Tools.
  • Monitor content performance daily.
  • Work to maximise engagement and followers.
  • Engage with brand stakeholders, social media influencers, clients and stockists on social media.
  • Identify key potential collaboration partners.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Weekly and monthly performance reporting of site and correlated digital marketing activity, focusing on traffic, engagement, conversion and sales.
  • Successfully drive traffic, conversion, customer retention and overall online improvements.
  • Report weekly on email marketing and social media performance.
  • Monitoring of ecommerce industry best practice and strategy planning.

Essential Skills

  • Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Manager with around 5 years experience.
  • Fashion industry experience is essential ideally in women's contemporary or luxury fashion; resort experience will be an advantage.
  • Experience in achieving sales growth and brand reach through proven online strategies.
  • Track record in implementing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Expertise in digital analytics to inform strategy.
  • Skilled in overseeing or executing content creation.
  • Experience identifying improvements based on consumer journey and feedback.
  • Strong organisation skills in achieving deadlines and targets.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Computer savvy including Shopify Plus, Newsletters, Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics, Photoshop, InDesign, Social Media, Paid Social Media, SEO, PPC, Planoly (or similar).
  • Articulate and professional, confident in liaising cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter happy to work in a small team.
  • A flexible, proactive and positive team player.
