Freelance Content Creator

Lunar Academy is an online learning platform powered by concept art and illustration studio Mooncolony. We were founded in 2023 with the mission to give artists the skills to make it in the games industry and turn their passion into a successful career.

Now we’re looking for a freelance content creator to help expand our brand’s reach and boost awareness through engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

This person will own the full production process—from ideation and research to scripting, filming guidance, and post-production editing.

The content will be primarily high-value and educational but we’d also love to incorporate relevant trends and memes where appropriate.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Content Strategy & Ideation – Working with artists and the Senior Marketing Manager to research trending topics and propose video concepts.
2. Scripting – Help and support the writing of scripts that deliver content in a concise and entertaining way.
3. Footage Capture Support – Coordinate and guide the filming process with artists.
4. Editing & Post-Production – Cut, edit, and optimise videos with engaging visuals, captions, and effects that align with Lunar Academy’s brand identity, to maximise reach and engagement.

1. Experience in short-form video production for social media platforms.
2. Understanding of video trends, memes, and best practices on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
3. Understanding of and interest in online video game culture and awareness of the art function in video games.

1. Approximately 4–6 videos per month depending on the topic and video duration etc.
2. Bulk video production over a few days to streamline team time.
3. Start Date: ASAP.
