Job description

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Further information about our work and annual plan for delivering this is available on our website.

This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in a career in countering fraud to join the Fraud Prevention Team at the NHSCFA. The Fraud Prevention Officer will work as part of a team whose joint remit is to ensure the organisation constantly looks ahead for the successful creation and delivery of fraud prevention interventions. The Fraud Prevention Officer will provide support in the development, implementation and maintenance of the NHSCFA's Fraud Prevention Guidance. They will also have a role in the delivery of key projects and horizon scanning activity to identify new and emerging threats.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience drafting material for use at organisational level and working within a high-level guidance and information drafting setting.

The post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills and behaviours demonstrating an ability to liaise effectively within the organisation and with external stakeholders.

To provide support in developing a range of fraud prevention material in diverse formats for use in supporting the fraud prevention strategic remit of NHSCFA. To work as part of a team whose joint remit is to ensure the organisation constantly looks ahead for the successful creation and delivery of fraud prevention interventions and information programmes for NHSCFA and its information access hub.

The post holder may be required to obtain NPPV2 clearance.

We have offices based in Coventry, Newcastle, and London and offer flexible, hybrid, office, and home-based working. In addition to the advertised salary, working in the London area will attract High-Cost Area Supplement where appropriate.
