FP&A Manager -12 month FTC - Asset Management

Michael Page are partnering with a well-regarded Asset Manager to assist them in hiring a FP&A Manager for their London based team.

Job Description

Key Tasks for this FP&A Manager role in the Financial Services sector in London:

1. Develop and model strategic plans (3-5 years out)
2. Work with the Finance Director to develop the budget process
3. Provide commercial insight into the above processes
4. Build models for transactions/ acquisitions (we are a highly acquisitive company) and be involved in the transaction process, working with FDD providers
5. Prepare detailed accounting memos for audit purposes to cover transactions and the more technical elements of the business
6. Hands-on role in a small (but growing) team with a chance to work in an entrepreneurial environment working closely with the management team

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal candidate for this FP&A Manager role in the Financial Services sector in London:

1. Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
2. 2+ years' experience in a FP&A role
3. Advanced modelling/Excel experience
4. Technically strong accounting background, ability to pick up commercial details, understand IFRS impact and present a clearly structured and balanced accounting paper for internal and audit purposes.
5. Experience of working with sensitive HR/payroll data and understanding of the importance of confidential treatment of such data
6. Asset management industry experience useful, but not essential
