Job description

A well-established company in the education supplies industry is looking for a Forklift Operator to join its team. As a Forklift Operator, you will have a valid forklift certification and support the goods in and dispatch operations.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including completing all necessary documentation.
  • Operate forklifts (Reach, Counterbalance, and Flexi) and conduct daily safety inspections.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and operates in line with Health & Safety standards at all times.
  • Keep picking bins within the main warehouse regularly replenished to maintain workflow.
  • Utilize handheld devices to manage stock and update inventory records.
  • Support Goods-In and Dispatch operations as needed.
  • Follow instructions diligently and assist with other tasks as directed by the manager.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Valid forklift certification (Reach, Counterbalance, and Flexi essential).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a warehouse, particularly within a Goods-In or Dispatch setting.
  • Confident using handheld stock control devices.
  • Strong team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Physically capable of manual handling and pallet packing.
  • Reliable with a solid track record in attendance and punctuality.
  • Able to follow procedures and complete relevant paperwork accurately.
  • A practical thinker with basic problem-solving skills and a good general education level.
