Battery Maintenance Technician
£11.50- £12.00 per hour
IMMEDIATE START
Basingstoke
Temp - Perm

Pertemps are currently looking for a Battery Maintenance Technician to join their client based in the Houndmills area of Basingstoke. We are looking for someone who is confident with maintaining and repairing motive power batteries. This is a permanent position, and the hours of work would be Monday - Friday; however, the successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out basic maintenance on Forklifts on site
2. Maintaining and cleaning spare batteries on site
3. Report any issues or repairs to Line manager
4. Safely prepare equipment for transportation
5. Assist with holiday & sickness cover where needed across the site
6. General housekeeping of area

Requirements for the role:

1. Good electrical/mechanical knowledge
2. Knowledge of Forklift Batteries & Chargers desirable
3. Background in Battery & Charger repairs & maintenance desirable
4. Ability to function as part of a team
5. Diligent and conscientious attitude with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
6. Ability to work unsupervised
7. Responsible and mature attitude
8. Capability to work well under pressure
9. Well organised
