Job Description: Forklift Driver

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Shifts: Day or Night shifts (Fixed)

Salary: £12.21-£15 per hour + Overtime at x1.5

Immediate start available

Pertemps are recruiting for forklift drivers for a company based in Witney on a full-time basis. The company is looking to expand their workforce and employ several forklift drivers to join their fast-paced production team.

About the Forklift Driver role

1. Movement of products within the yard and warehouse
2. Unloading of stock from delivery vehicles
3. Loading of finished products onto trailers for delivery to customers
4. Manual handling of stock
5. Recording stock movements on company stock control systems
6. Involvement in assembly and production across all areas of the assembly line

To be considered for the Forklift Driver role you will:

1. Have an in-date or recently expired forklift licence for either Counterbalance, Reach or Combi
2. Be physically fit due to the physical nature of this role
3. Be able to communicate effectively, with a good written and verbal understanding of the English language
4. Be willing to learn all other aspects of production and prepared to be hands-on, as the role does not require the operating of the forklift for the full duration of each shift
5. Have previous experience with hand tools (Beneficial but not essential)
6. Be computer literate

Temporary to Permanent position

Day shift work pattern: 06:00-15:00 Monday to Thursday / 06:00-12:00 Friday

Night shift work pattern: 16:45-03:15 Monday to Thursday

Day shift or Night shift available (fixed – no alternating shifts)

Day shift hourly rates – Basic hours £12.21-£14.50 / Overtime £18.30

Night shift hourly rates – Basic hours £14.03 / Overtime £21.05

Full training provided in all aspects of the role
