Forklift Driver - Coalville, England

In a Nutshell… We have an exciting opportunity for Forklift Drivers to join us at Vistry Works in our brand-new, state-of-the-art East Midlands Factory in Coalville, Leicester. As part of our logistics team in the Timber Frame Factory, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. We are offering a highly competitive hourly rate ranging from £13.02 to £14.91, depending on experience and additional training undertaken. This is more than just a forklift driver role—we invest in our team. You’ll have the opportunity to gain further qualifications and progress into Supervisor positions, helping shape the future of our growing operation. If you’re an experienced Forklift Driver with a keen eye for safety and efficiency, and experience handling large, awkward loads, we’d love to hear from you!

3. Full UK driving license
4. Extensive, proven experience as a Forklift Operator within a manufacturing facility

More about the Forklift Driver role

1. Unloading vehicles carrying inbound goods.
2. Locating goods into cantilever racking.
3. Consolidating goods to create space within the racking.
4. Picking raw materials for production lines.
5. Wrapping finished goods and preparing for dispatch.
6. Picking finished goods for dispatching.
7. Loading finished pallets on outbound vehicles.
8. Moving materials within the facility as and when required.
9. Accurately completing all relevant movement paperwork.
10. Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
11. Reporting near misses and unsafe activities/incidents.
12. Carry out all other required logistic duties.
13. Ensure health & safety standards are maintained.
14. Maintain facility presentation including tidiness and organisation of storage areas, clearing general debris and ensure compliance with the housekeeping policy.
15. Distribute tipping skips to working areas and collect when full.
16. Ensuring all logistic activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
17. Ensuring all required warehouse duties are performed and recorded accurately.
18. Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
19. Maintain stock accuracy - 99%.
