Forklift Driver

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Forklift Driver for our small team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to complete tasks to a high standard by constantly challenging the status quo and being at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality, and health, safety, and welfare. Additionally, the candidate should promote Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus, and a team approach.
This is a permanent role, working on shifts of 12 hours a day, 3 days a week; alternating between Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Key Tasks and Duties:

1. Work within the ethos and standards of the company
2. You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees
3. Communicate with the Despatch Office, shift leader or coordinator any shortages or problems with loads.
4. Follow instruction in all areas
5. Work with haulier drivers to sort and load trucks
6. Ensure all data to be recorded is correct and up to date.
7. Ensuring correct product is loaded for the Customer
8. Assemble and wrap product to customer requirements
9. Ensure product is labelled/packed to a very high quality
10. Unloading trailers – Pallets/Plastic/Plasterboard (consumables) and general deliveries.
11. Splitting pallets of product and relabelling as required, ensuring product is labelled correctly for despatch
12. Driving forklift in any of the designated areas in the factory to ensure the line is kept running and vehicles are loaded to meet customer requirements
13. Shunter driving – Moving trailer around the yard and in and out of loading bays
14. Returns – Unloading returns and recording the returns in the correct manner
15. Help with month end stock take when required
16. Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas
17. Keep up to date knowledge of all products
18. Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner.
19. Keep up to date and complete all training to ensure you are trained to do your day to day role.
20. Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations
21. Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
22. Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
23. Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management
