Job description

Location: Various locations in Monmouthshire, NP16
Start Date: January 7th
Hours: Full-time 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent

Axcis are working closely with an Educational Service across Monmouthshire and we are dedicated to supporting students who face challenges in traditional educational settings. Our inclusive and nurturing environment caters to learners with diverse needs, helping them build confidence, develop essential skills and reach their full potential. Each day presents new opportunities to make a meaningful impact on young lives, with a team of passionate staff providing tailored education and well-being support.

Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who bring enthusiasm, resilience and compassion to the role. Ideal qualifications include:

  1. Experience: Supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs.
  2. Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration and adaptability.
  3. Attributes: A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly.
  4. Bonus: A driver’s license and access to transportation are advantageous.

The Ideal Candidate
We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds, such as:

  1. Previous roles in nurseries, colleges, youth clubs, residential care or care homes.
  2. Personal experience with SEND, whether professional or familial.
  3. Graduates with a background in sociology, psychology, sports, music, art, or drama are encouraged to apply!

Additional Information
Pay: Starting from £83.40 per day, based on experience and qualifications.
Contract: Initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
