Foreman/ Working Foreman

The role & about the client:

On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Foreman/ Working Foreman to join a reputable contracting company based in Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing and managing construction project.
2. Leading a team of tradespeople to ensure high quality project delivery.
3. Working on site, combining supervision with hands on work.
4. To help with direct deliveries, clean and maintain the site, close and open the site.
5. Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
6. Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain smooth project operations.
7. Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed on site.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

1. Proven experience as a Foreman, Working Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety procedures and relevant regulations.
3. To be either hands on and working on site or overseeing.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications.
5. Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills.
6. Hands on experience with construction tools and equipment.
7. Relevant certifications- SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
8. Ability to problem solve and manage multiple tasks.
