Job description

Are you an experienced Sports Coach looking to transition into a classroom environment? We are seeking dynamic and adaptable individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Stafford, Staffordshire.

About the role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage secondary school classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
2. Deliver pre-set lessons to students, ensuring they remain engaged and on-task.
3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
4. Support students with their work where required and ensure they understand instructions.
5. Report back to teaching staff on the performance and behaviour of the class.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Sports Coach you will:

1. Experience working as a Sports Coach. Must be referenceable work.
2. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
3. Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different school environments.
4. A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

1. Experience working as a Sports Coach. Must be referenceable work.
