Job Description:

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey requires a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching primarily Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is committed to providing students with practical culinary skills and a strong understanding of nutrition.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons that meet curriculum requirements and inspire a love of cooking.
2. Teach essential cooking skills, food science principles, and healthy eating habits, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
3. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Food Technology, Hospitality, or a related field.
2. Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level.
3. Strong practical cookery skills, a passion for food and nutrition, and excellent classroom management skills.
