Job Description

SMART EDUCATION is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving Design & Technology department in a Birmingham secondary school. This is a permanent, full-time position starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering students' understanding of nutrition, cooking techniques, and food science.

Requirements

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting
3. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
4. Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities
5. A commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards in food preparation

Job Details

Location: Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time, permanent role – 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
