Food and Beverage Assistant/Night Steward - Royal London Yacht Club

Who we are:

The Royal London Yacht Club is a private members’ club established in 1838. It has established an excellent reputation for organising sailing regattas and social events both large and small for its members and guests throughout the year. Our elegant Victorian Clubhouse is situated in an enviable position on The Parade, Cowes, overlooking the Solent.

Our friendly staff team provide a high level of customer service to our members and their guests.

What we need:

We are looking to expand our current team with a food and beverage assistant who will ideally have waiting and bar experience, on a part-time/on demand basis during our busy summer season. This will involve both mid-week and weekend shifts including late night finishes. The hours and shifts offered will entirely depend on the events that are taking place from week to week.

The Club has ten bedrooms that are available for guests to book on varying days throughout the week. The ability to cover Night Steward sleeping shifts on a regular basis is a key part of this role. You will be provided with a room for the night; you will then be responsible for the security of staying guests should emergencies arise.

Experience/Skills:

1. Previous experience of waiting on large events plus the ability to serve at the bar when required.
2. Willingness to work flexibly as part of the team.
3. Confidence and ability to work on your own initiative.
4. Passionate about delivering an excellent level of professional customer service.
